• 2010/ EnBW Trinkwasser

This 10 minute long movie is a CGI/Real footage mixture, which I created with my team at Madness GmbH Göppingen in 2010 and which won the intermedia-globe GOLD Award 2011 by World Media Festival.

Madness GmbH was ordered by EnBW (Energie Baden-Württemberg) to produce a movie which describes, where the drinking water comes from and how it arrives at its destination...our households.

EnBW is one of germanys biggest areal providers for power, gas and thermal and supplies the Baden-Württemberg region around Stuttgart also with water.

I was hired as Lead Artist and cinematographer and had a small team of 2 CG-Artists and one compositing artist.

In a couple of days I shot the footage and interviews with a Canon EOS 5D MKII and my EOS 7D.
In the meantime one CG Artist built the historic village Stuttgart.

Later on, I did the rough cut and the animatic, before I animated the intro and the other CG parts, whereas the compositor graded up the real footage.

We had lots of 3D models to build, as well as doing a huge research of the historic development of Stuttgart and its surroundings.

Thanks to Hanna for her patience with me, during our shootings and her modeling stuff, a big thanks to Hannes, who built this wonderful tiny village and also thanks to Silvio, who did an amazing job, grading the final stuff :)
